Dear Little Treasures Sale Members,
On behalf of For Jamie’s Sake of Northern Kentucky, I would like to thank you for your generously allowing sellers to donate their items to our organization. We received so many great items that will make a difference for the children and families involved with foster care. FJS was humbled by the amount of clothing we obtained through the Little Treasures Sale. Your commitment of helping the foster and adoptive families in our community is sincerely appreciated!
Through the communities continued contributions, For Jamie’s Sake can provide the following services to foster and adoptive parents; Pillow Pals, Luggage of Love, a clothing closet and an emergency placement closet, as well as informative brochures on foster care and adoption. Providing these services helps lessen the financial burden on foster and adoptive parents so the children can more readily receive the care and attention that forever family affords.
The goal of For Jamie’s Sake is to raise awareness of children in foster care and those waiting to be adopted, while normalizing adoption as a means of creating a forever family. With the help of donations from supporters such as you, we will be able to accomplish this goal!

Ready to plan your shopping trip? Use these tips to get ready –
Do some prep work, figure out what you have and what you need for each child (and yourself!) Don’t forget Christmas is right around the corner.
- A quick way to check the length of pants is to measure a pair from home that fit using a piece of string. Cut the string to that it is the length of the pants from the waist to the bottom of the pants leg. If the pants are shorter than the string, you know they will be “high waters” on your child.
- Trace your child’s foot on cardboard and bring it to compare to shoes. This is the best way to see “if the shoe fits” with out bringing the little ones along.
When you come to shop:
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes
- Bring a laundry basket (you can even tie a belt or rope on it to drag it around if you don’t mind scraping your basket on the floor) or a wagon to carry your items
- Check out the Floorplan for the Fall 2010 Sale and decide where you want to head first
- Don’t forget consignors bring more items in starting Wednesday afternoon so check back at the end of the week for more great deals!

Clarification about Food/Beverage Shifts
If you want to shop first but can’t volunteer for a workshift, the food/beverage volunteer shift is for you. These shifts DO NOT count towards increasing your earnings but by signing up to bring the volunteers drinks or snacks you will get to shop first on Monday and at the half price presale Friday evening.
